Currently, the font size is quite small, much smaller than the default Garmin data fields. Now it's almost impossible to quickly and easily see the numbers at first glance, which should be prioritized for running watches. There is plenty of room to increase font size, so it would make sense to make it the same size as the other original Garmin data fields. See here for an example of how small the font is compared to the field right to it: https://gdurl.com/3P3X |

24 September 2018 18:48 Lloek.verhees | Thanks for the information. For some other app, I also requested larger fonts, and that was possible. So I thought it would be possible here as well. Too bad it can't be changed here. Nonetheless, thanks for creating all these apps! |
24 September 2018 19:31 AAdmin | Thank you. I have over 40 Apps, and this one is developed as what Garmin call a Simple Data Field. This is when as a developer you calculate the value and let the watch do the rest. So very easy to write. There are 'complex' Data Fields (see my hElevGrade) which can display anything. The problem is, you need to handle different devices, screen sizes and layouts. Therefore you write much more time to develop. |
05 October 2020 13:02 Kkjur | Hi, Just got Edge 1000 which besides regular cycling I occasionally use for running too. I installed Pace Indicator. Also on my device the font is too small. Definitely not the same as other data fields. I can send screenshot if required, but looks similar to what the other person sent. I have four data fields displayed. Default Garmin is 5 fields per screen. Not sure if it read the font size from a device without checking how many fields are actually displayed, but that may be a clue. I haven't tested it on 5 data fields per screen though, so not sure. Please prioritize the case and fix if possible. I'm sure you make lots of people happy (but they just don't know how to report it ;) ) |
